रटु निशिदिन राधे नाम रे।
जासु नाम घनश्याम याम वसु, रट नित पूरनकाम रे।
जासु अनूपम रूपमाधुरी, ध्यावत सुंदर श्याम रे।
जासु गुनन गावत मन भावत, श्यामहुँ आठों याम रे।
जासु ललित लीला देखन हित, बिक्यो ब्रह्म बिनु दाम रे।
जासु धाम सनकादि लतन बनि, ठाढ़े उलटे पाम रे।
हम ‘कृपालु’ उन नाम रूप गुन, गावत लीला-धाम रे।।

भावार्थ – अरे मन! तू निरन्तर राधे नाम की रटना कर जिसके नाम को पूर्णकाम श्यामसुन्दर भी रटते हैं, जिसकी अनुपम रूप माधुरी का श्यामसुन्दर निरन्तर ध्यान करते हैं, जिसके गुणों को प्रेम-विभोर होकर श्यामसुन्दर निरन्तर गाया करते हैं। जिसकी नित्य नव लीलाओं को देखकर ब्रह्म श्यामसुन्दर भी बिना दाम के बिके हुए हैं। जिसके धाम में सनकादिक परमहंस भी लता वृक्ष बन कर उलटे पैर खड़े हुए हैं। ‘श्री कृपालु जी’ कहते हैं कि हम उनके नाम, रूप, गुण, लीला, धाम को सदा गाया करते हैं।

raṭu nishidina rādhe nāma re
jāsu nāma ghanashyāma yāma basu, raṭa nita pūrana kāma re
jāsu anūpama rūpa mādhurī, dhyāvata sundara shyāma re
jāsu gunana gāvata manabhāvata, shyāmahuṁ āṭhoṁ yāma re
jāsu lalita līlā dekhana hita, bikyo brahma binu dāma re
jāsu dhāma sanakādi latana bani, ṭhādhe ulaṭe pāma re
hama ‘kripālu’ una nāma rūpa guna, gāvata līlā-dhāma re

Meaning – Oh mind! Continuously repeat the name of Shrī Rādhā, whose name is reiterated day and night even by the Supreme Lord Shyāmasundara even though He is absolutely self-contented. He always meditates on Her uniquely sweet, beautiful form and ceaselessly sings Her virtues with great love. The Supreme Brahma Shyāmasundara is sold without a price for seeing the ever-new enchanting līlās of Shrī Rādhā. In Her divine abode, even the greatest paramhansas, Sanaka etc. are standing upside down in the form of trees and creepers. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “We always sing the names, forms, attributes and līlās of Shrī Rādhā.”

līlā : Divine pastime or the graceful pattern of divine activity for the welfare of mankind.
paramhansa : One rejoicing in the knowledge of self.

तू मन! मनमानी त्याग रे।
बीते जनम अनंत नींद महँ, अब झटपट उठ जाग रे।
पुत्र कलत्र मित्र आदिक जे, तिन करु द्वेष न राग रे।
नँदनंदन पादारविंद ते, करि ले अब अनुराग रे।
तजि दे इंद्रिन विषय वासना, प्रेम सरस रस पाग रे।
जो ‘कृपालु’ चह भुक्ति मुक्ति तो, लगे प्रेम पट दाग रे।।

भावार्थ – हे मन ! अब तू अपनी मनमानी छोड़ दे। तुझे अज्ञान की नींद में सोते हुए अनन्त जन्म हो गये। अब जागकर तुरन्त उठ बैठ। पुत्र, स्त्री, मित्र आदि से न तो शत्रुता कर, न तो मित्रता ही कर। श्यामसुन्दर के युगल चरणों में निरन्तर प्रेम कर। इन्द्रियों की विषय वासनाओं को छोड़ दे एवं सरस प्रेम रस में अनुरक्त हो जा। ‘श्री कृपालु जी’ कहते हैं, किन्तु ध्यान रहे कि भुक्ति एवं मुक्ति की कामना न उत्पन्न होने पाये, अन्यथा प्रेम के उज्ज्वल वस्त्र पर कलंक लग जायगा।

tū mana! manamānī tyāga re
bīte janama ananta nīṁda mahaṁ, aba jhaṭpaṭa uṭha jāga re
putra kalatra mitra ādika je, tina karu dvesha na rāga re
naṁdanandana pādāravinda te, kari le aba anurṁga re
taji de indrina vishaya-vāsanā, prema sarasa rasa pāga re
jo ‘kripālu’ chaha bhukti mukti to, lage prema paṭa dāga re

Meaning – Oh mind! Abandon your arbitrariness now. You have been sleeping in the stupor of ignorance for innumerable lives. Now, shake off your sloth and get up immediately. Neither be hostile to your son, wife, friend etc. nor love them. Love only the lotus-feet of Shyāmasundara ceaselessly. Abandon the poisonous passion for sensual objects and become inebriated with the nectarean divine love-bliss. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “But be cautious that the desire of bhukti and mukti should never be generated in your heart, otherwise the clean and shining cloth of love will become tainted.”

Bhukti: The desire for the pleasures of this world and the world beyond.
Mukti: Liberation from the bondage of māyā. It is of five kinds namely sārshṭī, sāmīpya, sārūpya, sālokya, and sāyujya.
Māyā: The insentient power of God through which God creates this world.
Sārshṭī: Liberation of attaining equality with God in opulence.
Sāmīpya: Liberation of living in close proximity of God.
Sārūpya: Liberation of having the same form as God’s.
Sālokya: Liberation of living in the same abode with God.
Sāyujya: Liberation of merging into the personality of God.

तन यौवन धन दिन चार रे।
बड़े बड़े सुंदर तनु वारे, अंत भये जरि छार रे।
बड़े बड़े यौवन मद वारे, अंत खाँय लठ मार रे।
बड़े बड़े अगनित धन वारे, अंत चलत सब झार रे।
बड़े बड़े जे रहे कहावत, नाम न तिन संसार रे।
ताते अब ‘कृपालु’ बनि छोटे, भजु नित नंदकुमार रे।।

भावार्थ – अरे मन! यह शरीर, यह युवावस्था एवं यह धन, चार दिन ही रहेगा, इसका अहंकार छोड़ दे। बड़े-बड़े सुन्दर शरीर वाले अन्त में जल कर राख हो गये, बड़े-बड़े जवानी के अभिमान में चूर अपने ही प्रियजनों के हाथ लट्ठ की मार खाये। बड़े-बड़े करोड़पति अन्त में हाथ पसार कर चले गये। इतिहास में जो बड़े-बड़े कहलाते थे उनका संसार से नामनिशान भी मिट गया। ‘श्री कृपालु जी’ कहते हैं इसलिए अब छोटे बनकर अर्थात् दीन बनकर श्यामसुन्दर का निरन्तर भजन कर।

tana yauvana dhana dina chāra re
bade bade sundara tanu vāre, anta bhaye jari chhāra re
bade bade yauvana mada vāre, anta khāṁye laṭha māra re
bade bade aganita dhana vāre, anta chalata saba jhāra re
bade bade je rahe kahāvata, nāma na tina sansāra re
tāte aba ‘kripālu’ bani chhoṭe, bhaju nita nandakumāra re

Meaning – Oh mind! This body, this youth and this wealth are all fleeting, therefore never be proud of these perishable things. All the possessors of beautiful young bodies were reduced to ashes in the end. All those who are blind with the intoxication of youth will have their vanity smashed through the cudgel-beating by their own near and dear ones in the end. All the millionaires depart from this world empty-handed. The people who were known as great beings in history (emperors etc.) do not have the trace of even their names left in the world. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Therefore, now becoming small (i.e. humble), practise devotion to Shyāmasundara continuously.”
